The morning session of the this year's Conference will focus on the developments and progress of the new Qualifications and Credit Framework and how the new qualifications will impact on the Care Sector's employers, training providers and learners. The afternoon session is all about teaching and recruitment aids for employers and training providers. We will be launching our recruitment and teaching aid - Short Story Booklet and the exciting Care Ambassadors Project which is already underway in North Wales. We have also programmed in a "Have your Say" session which offers partners the opportunity to discuss opportunities and challenges important to your social care organisation. Annual Conference 2009 This year's annual conference was held on Friday 5th June in the Metropole Conference Centre, Llandrindod Wells. If you would like copies of any of the presentations that took place, they are available here:
"Care to tell us a story" competition Angie Smith of Llangeitho, Ceredigion has won the first prize in the Mid Wales "Care to tell us a Story?" competition for her short story – Caring to Touch. Making the Connections Project – Local Services for Local People In 2006 the Mid Wales Social Care Partnership was successful in drawing down funding from the Making the Connection Improvement Fund to take forward the first year of a longer project to investigate joint health and social care delivery models appropriate for rural areas and to pilot and/or reconfigure joint service delivery model(s) in site(s) services in Mid Wales.
